Dear Parents/Guardians,
The Department of Education encourages school districts to participate in the “Take Your Children to Work Day.” Students who opt to take part in this program will not be penalized for a day of absence from school. This year the national “Take Your Children to Work Day” is Thursday, April 23, 2026. The goal of this day is to give your child an opportunity to learn and see what you do at work and to start thinking about careers.
If your child is going to work with a parent/guardian and will not be in school, thanks for completing and submitting the form below for each individual child on or before Tuesday, April 21, 2026. This information will assist us with attendance and enable the classroom teacher to plan appropriate lessons. Completing this form will eliminate the need to call in for your child's absences. Please remember to cancel a pre-ordered lunch if your child will not be attending school.
