Message from the Principal

Dear Walnut Avenue School Families,

A very warm welcome to all of our wonderful students, staff, and families as we begin the 2026–2027 school year! I am so excited to embark on another fantastic year filled with discovery, growth, and learning. We have so much to celebrate this year, including the debut of our brand-new classroom wing, a spacious Creative Commons space for Library/Media, and a refurbished area for Music. These new additions complement our school perfectly, creating a fun, nurturing environment where all of our Preschool through Grade 2 learners can thrive!

At the heart of our community is the Cranford Public Schools Full Value Model. These six guiding principles inspire us every day to bring out the very best in ourselves and each other: Care for Self and Others, Be Here, Be Safe, Be Honest, Set Goals, and Let Go and Move On. Together, they help us build a safe, supportive, and truly caring school family.

It’s your convenient, all-in-one spot for highlighting recent school fun and staying up to date on upcoming events. I also invite you to get involved with our fantastic Parent Teacher Association (PTA). From fundraising events to fun-filled community gatherings, our dedicated PTA volunteers work to support our school community, and we would love to have you join in!
