Message from the Principal

As we wrap up another joyful and enriching school year at Walnut Avenue School, I want to take a moment to thank you for being an essential part of our vibrant school community. It has been a privilege to watch our young learners—from preschool through Grade 2—grow in confidence, creativity, and curiosity throughout the year.

At WAS, we believe that every child’s journey begins with wonder, exploration, and a love of learning. This year, our students engaged in meaningful, hands-on experiences, built lasting friendships, and developed foundational skills that will support them for years to come. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our incredible teachers and the strong partnership we share with our families.

As summer begins, I encourage you to keep the spirit of learning alive by enjoying time together as a family—read books, explore nature, play, and discover new things. These moments help reinforce the joy of learning and prepare our students for the exciting adventures ahead.

We can’t wait to welcome you back in the fall for another year of growth, discovery, and connection.
